In 1992 it was realised that the sources of original magneto spares were rapidly drying up. Seeing this as an opportunity rather than a setback, Mike increased his manufacturing resources by adding moulding machinery to his already well-equipped machine shop. Production capability now includes not only coil winding but the manufacture of both metal and plastic components, such as contact breaker points and distributor caps.
In 1997 the business was presented with the prestigious national Investor in People award after successfully demonstrating that standards of excellence were maintained in business planning, communication and staff development and training. The award was confirmed in 2003.
2005 saw a change of location and the cessation of magneto repairs.
In December 2009 the coil winding aspect of the business was sold to Ribblesdale Auto Electrics. We now concentrate solely on magneto spare parts.
